End of all Days
Plenty of people around me were visibly worried about jerry during this show. You could almost feel the rest of the band trying to cover for him. Then too there were plenty of impaired younger fans leaping and running and acting like the show was just a huge blast. Which it WAS NOT.
Until Jerry uncorked a Days Between that melted me where I stood. Check out how his solo climbs out of the abyss, reaches HARD for heaven, triplets tumbling up an escalator in perfect sync with the drummers.
Yeah. Grateful Dead.

Worst, saddest show, and the last for me
I took a Greyhound all night from NYC to D.C. I spent the whole day in the parking lot (also visited the National Gallery and the Smithsonian. But I got heat exhaustion or heat stoke. So humid and oppressive. It didn't help that I was on shrooms and did whippits all day.
So when the show started I ended up in the Nursing Station. My head was pounding so hard. Then I heard Dylan in the background. Imagine having, like, the worst hangover ever, and Dylan, nasally old man Dylan blasting in your ear.
All I remember was I recovered, and next to The LA coliseum, was the worst I'd seen. And Jerry, well, Jerry. I don't want to remember him for those days. But it was a helluva ride for all those years; some of the best.

I was 16 years old living in Richmond, VA. (2 hrs south of DC) Was invited to go with some older co-workers to this show. Was just getting into The Dead and had no clue Jerry would go so soon after. One of my biggest regrets! Thanks for having this show on here!

IT HAD TO BE 125 DEGREES IN THE SHADE
AT THIS POINT IN G.D. LAND IF YOU WENT TO A SHOW AND THEY PLAYED JUST 5 SONGS THAT WERE GOOD YOU WALKED OUT A LUCKY MAN,YES IT HURTS TO SAY THIS BUT ONE MUST BE HONEST MUST'NT ONE.THE BEST SONG GARCIA WAS DOING WAS SPEEDWAY BOOGIE.I MEAN WHEN YOU HOPED FOR A STELLA BLUE INSTEAD OF MORNING DEW SOMETHING IS MOST DEFINATELY WRONG BUT JERRY WAS TEARING STELLA BLUE APART WHERE AS THE MORNING DEW'S WERE PATHETIC.AND DAY'S BETWEEN WAS THE WORST AND IF YOU GOT LIBERTY AS AN ENCORE YOU WALKED OUT DISSAPPOINTED BIG TIME.
